There’s good news for iPhone acolytes on a budget: Apple is now making an iPhone X that is $250 less expensive than last year’s iPhone X. The new phone was revealed at Apple’s annual event today as part of its new line of iPhone X models. Here’s what we know about it.
The iPhone XR is 6.1 inches, making it larger than the iPhone X. However, instead of the iPhone X’s nearly bezel-less OLED screen, the iPhone XR comes with an liquid retina LCD screen. The LCD screen stretches nearly edge-to-edge, making it a much sleeker (and smaller) option than the iPhone 8 Plus. And that makes the iPhone XR cost less. For all those who don’t cherish the thought of spending $999 on a new phone, it’s probably a sacrifice worth making.
This one also comes in multiple colors: white, black, blue, coral, and yellow, plus a Product (RED) edition. Its battery lasts an hour and a half longer than the iPhone 8 Plus.
